They met while performing in theater. Classic meets rustic. Traditional. Romantic elegance.
Nicole and Phil had me convinced of their mutual passion towards one another since day one. They’ve been together for 7 years and met in the theater community in Staten Island, where they grew up. The rest was history! She is a teacher and he is a policeman; they take their jobs seriously but are otherwise goofballs and super fun to be around! It feels like we’ve been friends for years.
Their best man and bride’s sister speeches brought tears to everyone’s eyes due to laughter. Their guests were a bunch of theater kids, teachers, and some troopers and - oh boy - did they know how to party and keep the dance floor moving! Nicole + Phil managed to create a special day that is uniquely theirs.
There are more details! Nicole’s mermaid silhouette wedding dress was an absolute show-stopper with the most extravagant train that exuded luxury, elegance, and romance. She got ready at the Residence Inn by Marriott where we did fun flower petal photoshoots with her entourage and mom. After getting ready, N+P had their intimate first look on the hilltop just outside the front doors of the hotel. We then headed to the most gorgeous church with interesting architecture and mosaic windows made for the perfect getaway photos! We continued to create portraits once we arrive on site to The Hamilton Manor where we shot at the rustic truck and flatbed, natural wood barn, nature-backdrops and the colorful, love graffiti wall and swing. There were so many spots at the The Hamilton Manor for wedding photography it would take hours to cover them all! We snuck away again for some lovely nighttime portraits too, where Nicole and Phil enjoyed a romantic end to their evening dancing underneath the seemingly endless string of tea-lights the Hamilton Manor has to offer.
Congratulations are in order to this passionate, goofy, and fun-loving couple! May your laughter always be heard from miles away and may you feel your love grow stronger over the many years to come!
Warmly,
The Olker Wedding Photo Team
